Problems and Issues with Windows phone

Windows have some problems regarding OS 8.0 it has when you compare to other phones. For casual users these may not be a problem but for a par user they encounter difficulties in some issues.

I have used Nokia 620 and 520 and these are budget oriented phones hardly i used it for 2-3 months but at last I gave up.Hard ware that Nokia makes is excellent , I would say they make one of the best phones hardware wise.But  I  faced  problems related to usage of Google accounts and different browsers and  SD cards etc.

Let us see in detail.... 

Internal Memory and Size of apps

    
Generally these budget oriented phones come up with 8 GB of internal memory storage and additional around 4 GB also that's similar for Android phones in that budget range. Regarding app sizes you can't install in SD card even though you have an SD card option. So apps will reside on internal memory only.

   
One important thing I noticed is the app size in windows phone it is generally large.

Let's take Subway Surfer in Android phones it is around 40 MB but in Windows phone it is 83 MB and this is similar other games also size of apps were larger. Even though I have 2.2 GB of space I could'nt install the games of  1 GB .Size will be a limiting factor. 

 Microsoft should look at internal storage and size of apps .

File Manager

You won't find any native file manager but there are third party file managers but the functionality is  limited .For example, even though we have Micro SD card file manager has read  only permission and we can write any thing to it.

LED light 

None of the windows phone has physical led light.suppose you got a missed call, message you get notification till you open it. Most of the people think it is not that important but for busy people it is important.Even though we have it in Nokia 1520 when we enable that feature the battery life  was drained very quickly. This would be some extent a defect.

Notifications

If you want to see notifications regarding whatsup messages,missed calls ,Twitter you need to their respective sections in order to see. It doesn't have central notifications where Android, iOS has this feature.

Google apps

This is not a fault of microsoft. I would blame it for google. For a heavy google users like Gmail,Google+,Youtube, Google maps and Google services etc. None of those have a native app in windows phone. Functionality of these apps is a kind of crippled. Like setting up a gmail is round up process you have to create an outlook account and you have to setup in that, then only you can use that.

Instant toggles and keyboard

Windows phone doesn't have toggles for Bluetooth, Wifi. Though you crate a shortcut it is just a shortcut it takes 3-4 steps. This is a minute one. but Google must come up with instant toggles. windows do not allow third party keyboard ie., swiftkey keyboard. We can use stock keyboard only.

OTG support and Browsers

Some of the windows phone doesn't support OTG support. It will be very easy to expand and carry it with OTG. We cant use browsers like Opera, FireFox etc

So windows phones have some problems with Os. Nokia based window phones are better they provide additional apps like Nokia maps and camera app. 

Hope coming OS will cover up all these issues.!!
